Hubungan Literasi Kesehatan Lingkungan dengan Pengelolaan Sampah Rumah Tangga di Desa Kuapan Kecamatan Tambang

Abstract

Household waste management is a crucial issue in public environmental health. Good environmental health literacy can influence waste management behavior at the household level. This study aims to analyze the relationship between environmental health literacy and household waste management in Kuapan Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. The study used a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. The study population was all heads of families in Kuapan Village, totaling 1,015 families spread across 5 hamlets. A sample of 300 respondents was selected using a stratified random sampling technique with the Slovin formula (margin of error 5%). The study was conducted in October-November 2025. The research instrument used a structured questionnaire to measure environmental health literacy and household waste management practices. Data analysis used the Spearman correlation test. The results showed a significant positive relationship between environmental health literacy and household waste management (r = 0.685, p < 0.001). The conclusion of this study states that there is a relationship between environmental health literacy and household waste management in Kuapan Village. It is hoped that increasing environmental health literacy will improve good household waste management practices in Kuapan Village.
