Environmental health literacy is the ability of individuals to understand and use information about environmental health to make appropriate decisions. This study aimed to assess the level of environmental health literacy and identify factors associated with it among residents in Indonesia. This research used a cross-sectional design with 400 respondents selected through purposive sampling in Riau Province, covering three areas: Pekanbaru City, Kampar Regency, and Indragiri Hulu Regency. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire. Results showed that 42.5% of respondents had low environmental health literacy, 38.3% moderate, and 19.2% high literacy. Factors significantly associated with literacy level included education level (p<0.001), access to health information (p=0.003), and residential area (urban vs. rural) (p=0.012). These findings suggest the need for structured environmental health education programs, especially in rural communities with low formal education.
