The number of words in the abstract section ranges from 150-200 words, written in two Tributary rivers play an essential role in sustaining rural communities, serving as a source of water for domestic needs, sanitation facilities, and supporting local ecosystems. This study aims to examine the influence of community activities on the condition of the tributary river in Naga Beralih Village, focusing on water utilization patterns, waste disposal behavior, and perceived changes in water quality. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through field observation and in-depth interviews with residents living near the river. The results indicate that daily activities such as bathing, washing, and open defecation remain dominant practices around the river, despite a government sanitation program providing latrines since 2026. Additionally, a motorcycle repair workshop near the riverbank contributes waste with the potential to pollute the water body. Respondents perceived the river water condition as relatively poor, marked by the presence of waste and sediment disrupting the flow, although visible changes in color and odor were not yet significant. The study concludes that low environmental awareness and limited education among residents are the primary factors weakening the sustainability of river conservation efforts, highlighting the need for synergy between environmental education, village regulation enforcement, and active community participation.
