Advancements in digital technology have made it easier for young people to access health information via the internet and social media; however, this has also increased the risk of exposure to inaccurate information, misinformation, and information overload. This study aims to analyze the role of digital health literacy in the mental health and information-handling capabilities of young people in Pekanbaru City. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing a literature review method supported by secondary data regarding the situation of youth in Pekanbaru. Data were gathered from relevant scientific articles and official sources, then analyzed using a descriptive-narrative method involving the identification, categorization, comparison, and synthesis of findings. The results indicate that digital health literacy encompasses the ability to search for, understand, evaluate, verify, and appropriately utilize health information. Higher levels of literacy are associated with a critical approach to information and a lower tendency toward cyberchondria. Digital health literacy is also linked to mental health, although it is influenced by various other factors. Strengthening digital health literacy is essential to fostering a generation of young people who are critical, adaptable, and responsible.
