Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Kain Perca Menjadi Masker dengan Metode Sederhana Bagi Masyarakat Kota Pekanbaru

Abstract

The use of cloth masks will reduce the risk of exposure to the virus. An alternative to medical masks is the use of cloth masks that can be washed and used. This community service activity aims to provide training in the use of scrap fabric into cloth masks with a simple method for housewives in Pekanbaru City. The community service activity method is carried out using the caramah, question and answer, and practice methods. The activity was carried out for the people of Pekanbaru City. The community service participants were very enthusiastic about participating in this activity so that this community service activity ran smoothly. This training provided several materials related to efforts to increase the knowledge of community service participants in terms of utilizing scrap fabric into cloth masks with a simple method. Participants welcomed this activity positively and the material presented could be understood by the participants and the activity went smoothly, on time and as expected. The results of community service are very beneficial for the community, especially housewives in Kampung Melayu Village, Pekanbaru City, who previously could not make their own masks, can now make masks using a simple method without the help of a sewing machine.
